  BLUE MOON

Black Legged, BLack Faced, Blue Roan
Sire: Double Vision
Dam: Chill Factor x Grizz (1/2 blood Maine)

Every once in a while we'll pull one out of the woodwork, & Blue Moon is no exception.  Blue Moon has surfaced on the highest levels of prospect steer production on his first calf crop which consisted of three bull calves (all out of RECIPIENT cows) & commanded an average of  a little over $3000 per head with the highest being $7500. This black legged & blue faced roan sires tremendous structure, bone column, rib shape, & hair.  He hails from one of the true matrons of Griswold Cattle Co.  To date, all calves have been solid black or dark blue, and as evidenced by the photo above, solid good!  If you want to add a "shot" of shorthorn to your breeding program and keep them dark, Blue Moon should be on your list for consideration this breeding season.

  ADRENALINE

Sire: 4D Double Vision
Dam: LF Lucky Charm
DOB: June 6, 2003

With the genetic dominance & consistency of 4D Double Vision & LF Lucky Charm, Adrenaline has very little left to chance in regard to a breeding program.  The Lucky Charm cow family has surfaced on the highest levels of the breed whether it be in the showring or the top of sale averages.  Double Vision has more than stood the test of time in both club-calf & purebred production alike.  Adrenaline is extremely sound & loose structured with tremendous skeletal width & muscle mass, while excelling in growth & maternal traits.

  GOLD PLATED

Sire: Double Vision
Dam: LS Lacey (Preferred Stock x Fantasia) - Maternal Sister to Echo

  • First Goldmember son to be promoted.
  • Goldmembers look with a shot of Simmetnal to use on higher percentage Angus cows or more traditional breeding cattle pedigrees to produce percentage purebreds or composites.
  • Should breed even more consisten than Goldmember with the 860Y cow family influence coupled with the WK Sandy cow family.
  • High probability of being a calving ease sire.
  • Should work well on a broad spectrum of cows both purebred and composite to generate females with the genetic consistency of 860Y and stout sound valuable steer and bull calves.
